As Vice President of Acquisitions at Avanti Residential, Mark plays a key role in sourcing and executing multifamily real estate transactions, focusing on identifying value-add, core-plus, and core investment opportunities. Prior to joining Avanti, Mark served as the Founder & CEO of Centennial State Capital, where he successfully completed nearly $300 million in Core and Value-Add transactions across the Southwest, Mountain Region, and Southeast.
With more than 18 years of experience in capital markets, Mark has held prominent roles at premier investment banks including leading a New York-based hedge fund team at Citigroup, heading the Capital Markets Equity Sales team at Barclays, and serving as Executive VP and Head of Equity, Fixed Income, Commodities, and Currency Sales and Trading at a boutique investment bank. Throughout his career, Mark has facilitated hundreds of equity financing deals for some of Wall Street's largest public REITs.
In 2010, he founded Solo Oak LLC, a real estate investment firm where he built a successful Florida portfolio focused on single-family homes and developed land.
Mark played collegiate golf at the University of Illinois, where he was an Academic All-American and an All-Big Ten Academic award winner. He also played professional golf on the South American and Canadian PGA Tours, with one PGA Tour appearance.
Mark holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Illinois and a Master’s in Real Estate from the University of Denver, Daniels College of Business. He currently resides in Colorado with his wife, a USPTA-certified tennis professional, their three-year-old daughter, and their dog, Vail.
